A win for APR FC will see them leapfrog Rayon Sports to take the top spot by a single point. If Rayon Sports triumph, they will extend their lead to five points, tightening their grip on the title. A draw, just like in their first-leg encounter in December, will keep Rayon Sports in pole position with a two-point advantage.

The January transfer window saw them reinforce their attack with the addition new players includes Djibril Ouattara, who has already made a significant impact.
