On Sunday, December 15, 957 public servants from various institutions graduated from the Public Servant Induction Programme. The programme is designed to promote collaboration, professionalism, ethics, and strategic alignment to advance the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2) and Vision 2050. The graduation ceremony, held at the Rwanda Military Academy (RMA) in Gako, brought together high-ranking government and military officials to mark the conclusion of the inaugural five-week-long programme. During the training, participants engaged in various interconnected sessions, including Rwanda’s liberation and transformation journey, Vision 2050, the private sector’s role in national development, the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2), public service culture, ethics and values, as well as regional and international dynamics and their implications for Rwanda’s development. Amb. Christine Nkulikiyinka, the Minister of Labour and Public Service, stated that the programme was launched to cultivate a public service workforce that delivers with excellence, embodies the spirit of "Team Rwanda," and ensures the achievement of Rwanda's Vision 2050. “Our goal is to transform Rwanda's public service into a cohesive, empowered, and interconnected entity of Rwandans with distinction,” she said.

According to the minister, participants’ feedback reflects a renewed sense of purpose, pride, and preparedness, along with an understanding of the profound responsibility and honor of serving as custodians of the nation’s progress. “Strive to lead with integrity, collaborate with your peers, and serve with humility and excellence. You are the guardians of a civil service that will propel Rwanda towards the realization of Vision 2050,” she urged the public servants.

The induction programme will continue for all current and future public servants in Rwanda. It will also include refresher courses and relevant training to enhance capacity and performance.
