On Friday, 13 December 2024, Ambassador James Ngango, Rwanda’s envoy to Slovenia, presented his Letters of Credence to President Nataša Pirc Musar in Ljubljana. According to the Rwanda Embassy in Switzerland accredited to Slovenia, the brief discussion focused on deepening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Ahead of the ceremony, on Thursday, 12 December, Ambassador Ngango presented copies of his Letters of Credence to Ambassador Nataša Prah, Head of Protocol, and had discussions with officials from the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs aimed at enhancing bilateral ties. The first Rwandan Ambassador presented credentials in September 2011, establishing the first diplomatic relation between the two countries. The Embassy of Rwanda has built excellent relations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participated in most annual diplomatic, trade, and business activities organized by the Ministry. In 2023, Rwanda and Slovenia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations that will further strengthen relations between the countries. In May 2024, President Nataša Pirc Musar received former President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Rwanda, Donatille Mukabalisa, who was on an official visit to Slovenia. During that time, they devoted most of their discussion to current international issues. They shared similar views on the importance of joint efforts to strengthen stability and cooperation both in our regions and in the international community.
