The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has arrested Bishop Mugisha Mugiraneza Samuel, who recently resigned from his position as the leader of the Shyira Diocese in the Anglican Church of Rwanda. "He is under investigation for alleged crimes of embezzlement and misuse of funds for personal gain during his tenure," RIB stated in a post on X on Tuesday, January 21. According to RIB, Bishop Mugisha is currently detained at the Remera RIB Station as investigations are ongoing.
