Famous singer Chris Brown was arrested in England on Thursday. He was taken into custody at a hotel in Manchester after being accused of attacking someone with a bottle at a nightclub in London last year. The police have not officially named Brown but said they arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury. In the UK, police usually don’t release the names of people being arrested until formal charges are made. According to The Sun newspaper, music producer Abe Diaw claims that he was attacked by Brown without warning at the Tape nightclub in London’s Mayfair area in February 2023. Diaw says Brown hit him on the head with a bottle and then punched and kicked him while he was on the ground. As a result of the attack, Diaw was taken to the hospital. Diaw has since filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown for 12 million pounds (about \$16 million) in damages. At the time of the incident, Brown was touring in the UK. He is scheduled to return for another tour in the UK in June and July of this year. Brown’s representative has not yet responded to requests for comment on the situation.
