Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., has been selected to play for Portugal’s Under-15 national team. The young footballer, who is 14 years old, will join the team for the Vlatko Marković International Tournament later this May, according to CNN. The Portugal Under-15 team will play against Japan, Greece, and England in the tournament. They will also have another match in Croatia, where the tournament takes place. Cristiano Ronaldo, the famous football star and Portugal’s all-time top scorer with 136 goals, shared how proud he is of his son. On Instagram, he posted a picture of the squad list with his son’s name and wrote: “Proud of you, son!” Ronaldo Jr. currently plays for the youth team at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, which is the same club where his father plays. Over the years, he has trained at the youth academies of big clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United, just like his dad. People on social media have loved watching clips of Ronaldo Jr. celebrating goals like his father, especially his version of the famous “Siu” celebration. When he was with Juventus’ youth team, reports say he scored an amazing 58 goals. A coach from the Portugal youth team said, “Cristiano Jr. has talent and a strong passion for the game. We’re happy to have him join the team for this important tournament.” This is the first time Ronaldo Jr. will represent Portugal, just like his father has done for many years.
