On June 26, 2024, a dream of a lifetime came true as I stood at Place Saint Pierre for the papal audience, with the Vatican Media capturing the moment. This day marked the realization of a long-held aspiration and underscored the power of believing in our dreams, no matter how big or small they may be. Our dreams infuse our lives with meaning and direction, propelling us towards fulfilling moments such as this.   In this sacred setting, I had the immense honor of presenting my book, "Rwanda: un deuil impossible - effacement et traces" (Classiques Garnier, Paris, April 7, 2021), to Pope Franc

In this sacred setting, I had the immense honor of presenting my book, "Rwanda: un deuil impossible - effacement et traces" (Classiques Garnier, Paris, April 7, 2021), to Pope Francis. This work, which delves into the enduring impact of the Rwandan genocide, was crafted with deep research and profound empathy. Handing it over to the Pope was a moment of profound significance, bridging my personal journey with a broader message of remembrance and healing.   Alongside my book, I presented two additional works representing organizations that I am privileged to serve on the Board of Directors. These organizations are dedicated to supporting migrants, refugees, and vulnerable individuals, embodying the very essence of compassion and service. It was a deeply moving experience to share these efforts with Pope Francis, a global beacon of hope and solidarity.   I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Father Micho Segatagara, SJ, for his warm welcome, unwavering support, and generous hospitality during this momentous occasion. Your kindness has been a beacon of light, and I am eternally grateful. May God bless you abundantly.   This unforgettable day at Place Saint Pierre is a testament to the power of dreams, the importance of resilience, and the transformative impact of unwavering belief. As I stood there, the realization dawned that dreams, with faith and perseverance, do come true. Let this serve as a reminder to all to cherish and pursue their aspirations, for they indeed hold the key to a meaningful existence.   Thank you, Pope Francis, for your gracious acceptance of my work and for your continuous dedication to uplifting humanity. And thank you to all who have supported and believed in this journey.
