In September 2024, on the sidelines of the China-Africa Summit (FOCAC) in Beijing, President Paul Kagame met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Village Urugwiro, the meeting, attended by delegations from both nations, covered ongoing collaboration in key sectors, including health, infrastructure, and technology. “The Heads of State also reaffirmed their commitment to multipolar global governance based on sovereignty, self-determination, and shared values,” Village Urugwiro stated in September .
