Houthi leader Abdel-Malik al-Houthi has vowed to escalate attacks targeting companies connected to Israel, marking the beginning of what he called the "fourth phase" of military operations in response to the war on Gaza, according to Al Jazeera. In a televised speech lasting over 90 minutes, al-Houthi declared that any shipping company involved with the Israeli army or transporting goods to Israel would be considered a target, warning, “The Houthi armed forces are capable of reaching them.” He described the expansion of attacks as a “necessary step” in light of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, particularly the famine exacerbated by Israel’s blockade.

“We direct a warning to anyone who dares to stand with the Israeli enemy, using all tools of betrayal, treachery and criminality,” he said.

Al-Houthi also condemned Arab nations that maintain economic ties with Israel, urging them to follow Colombia’s recent decision to ban coal exports to the country in protest of its military actions in Gaza. Reaffirming his group’s military commitment, al-Houthi said Houthi forces had launched 10 missiles and drones this week alone, with one of the targets being Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel. He said operations would continue as part of what the group frames as support for Palestinians under siege.
