they did not know the teenagers who crashed the party. Glass was found shattered at the side of the property, where investigators believe the group forced entry before fleeing the scene prior to police arrival. The two-storey accommodation has been listed on short-stay platforms for several years, and residents say disturbances have become routine. “I feel for these houses here because they have gone through this almost every single weekend,” neighbour Rohit Suvarna said. “We as neighbours, we keep discussing how we can get rid of it,” added another resident, Kuldeep Singh. Homeowner Aga Arefeen said booking records showed that two adults had reserved the property and no children were listed as guests. “People are not telling the truth, what they’re booking and what they’re booking it for,” he said. He criticised booking platforms for demanding too little information from guests: “We don’t know anything because it’s the privacy, so they can’t provide this privacy to us,” Arefeen said. With glass scattered across the property and bloody footprints from the front door to the back, Arefeen has temporarily removed the listing. “It’s very, very annoying for the house owners because it’s a huge damage, the million-dollar property,” he said. Victoria Police confirmed investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
