Kyiv, Ukraine — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Sunday, February 1, 2026, that the next round of trilateral US-Ukraine-Russia peace talks will be held in the United Arab Emirates on February 4 and 5.
"Our negotiating team has just delivered a report," Zelenskyy said, announcing the dates for the next round of talks in Abu Dhabi. "Ukraine is ready for a substantive discussion, and we are interested in ensuring that the outcome brings us closer to a real and dignified end to the war."
The announcement follows productive meetings between US presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian representatives in Florida on Saturday. Witkoff described the discussions as "productive and constructive" regarding the war in Ukraine.
The upcoming talks will follow a landmark round of negotiations held in the UAE last month, which were the first trilateral US-Ukraine-Russia talks since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Those talks focused on possible parameters for ending the war but concluded without a breakthrough.

The negotiations come as a brief and limited energy infrastructure truce expired on Sunday. Russia has continued its massive drone and missile strikes against Ukrainian heating and electricity infrastructure, making the 2025-2026 winter especially difficult for millions suffering unprecedented energy blackouts.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine is "in regular contact with the US side" and was waiting to receive information on the latest round of talks. "Ukraine is ready to work in all effective formats. What matters is the results. And that meetings happen," he added.
