Rayon Sports Held to a Draw by Resilient Amagaju FC

Rayon Sports dropped points once again after being held to a 1-1 draw by Amagaju FC in a Matchday 18 fixture of the Rwanda Premier League, played at Huye International Stadium. Coming into this match, Amagaju FC was positioned 8th on the league table with 22 points, while Rayon Sports was leading the standings with 40 points. The match began with both teams playing cautiously, but Rayon Sports showed early attacking intent. Their efforts paid off in the 31st minute, when Fall Ngagne broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal, courtesy of an assist from Rukundo Abdul Ham, sending Rayon Sports into halftime with a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Rayon Sports continued to press forward, creating several scoring opportunities but failing to capitalize. This inefficiency proved costly, as Amagaju FC applied pressure in the closing minutes. Their persistence was rewarded in the 78th minute, when Kiza Useni Seraphine found the equalizer after connecting with a brilliant pass from Masudi Narcisse. Despite maintaining their position at the top of the table, Rayon Sports missed the chance to extend their lead over their closest challengers. Meanwhile, Amagaju FC demonstrated resilience and continued to prove that they can compete against top teams. Following this match, Fall Ngagne remains the league's top scorer with 13 goals, while Kiza Useni Seraphine added another goal to his tally as he aims to climb the scoring charts. Rayon Sports will now shift their focus to upcoming fixtures, determined to get back to winning ways, while Amagaju FC will look to build on this strong performance as they aim for a higher league position.
