The inaugural New Year Groove in 2025 was a landmark moment for Rwanda’s music scene. Headlined by The Ben, it also marked the launch of his album Plenty Love. Performances by Kenyan R&B star Otile Brown and local talents like K8 Kavuyo and Tuff Gang thrilled thousands. One standout moment saw The Ben pause mid-performance, touched by the audience’s energy showing the deep connection between artists and fans. In 2026, the spotlight shifts to collaboration. For the first time, The Ben and Bruce Melodie will share the stage. Once seen as rivals, the two artists now describe their relationship as a “healthy rivalry,” offering fans a rare chance to see them perform together.

Symphony Band powers the concert with electrifying live music and perfect harmony.
The event will feature live band performances, with Bruce Melodie backed by Symphony Band, plus high production values designed to make BK Arena an intimate and immersive experience. Fans can also look forward to potential new music and special joint performances. Bank of Kigali, a main sponsor, praised the event’s role in boosting Rwanda’s creative industry, highlighting its cultural and economic significance. With tickets already on sale, The New Year Groove 2026 promises a night of music, unity, and celebration not just of a new year, but of a new chapter in Rwanda’s entertainment history.
