Rwanda National Police College (NPC) in Musanze District hosted the 14th graduation ceremony of the Police Senior Command and Staff Course (PSCSC), marking another milestone in regional efforts to strengthen professional policing and security leadership across Africa.

A total of 38 senior police officers from 10 African countries successfully completed the one-year professional training programme designed to equip senior law enforcement leaders with advanced knowledge in strategic leadership, security management, operational planning, and modern policing practices. The graduation ceremony brought together senior government officials, police leaders, diplomats, and representatives from participating countries to celebrate the achievements of the graduating officers. The Police Senior Command and Staff Course is one of the flagship programmes offered by Rwanda National Police College. It aims to prepare senior police officers for higher leadership responsibilities by enhancing their decision-making abilities, management skills, and understanding of contemporary security challenges. Over the past year, participants have undergone intensive academic and practical training covering topics such as strategic planning, public safety, crime prevention, regional security cooperation, leadership ethics, and crisis management. The programme reflects Rwanda's commitment to promoting professional security institutions and strengthening cooperation among African countries in addressing emerging security threats. As the graduates return to their respective countries, they are expected to apply the knowledge and experience gained in Rwanda to improve policing services, strengthen institutional capacity, and contribute to peace and security across the continent. The successful completion of the 14th PSCSC further reinforces Rwanda National Police College's reputation as a leading center for police education and professional development in Africa.
