Rwanda and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan also collaborate in police forces. On September 2, 2024, the police forces of both nations signed cooperation agreements covering capacity building, exchange of expertise and experience, and collaboration in other areas of security interest. Bilateral relations between Rwanda and Jordan have grown significantly over the past five years, following the presentation of Letters of Credence by the first Rwandan Ambassador to the King of Jordan in 2017. In February 2023, Rwanda and Jordan signed three cooperation agreements through their Ministers of Foreign Affairs. These covered political consultations, higher education, and a visa waiver for diplomatic, service, and special passport holders. In January 2024, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan visited Rwanda on a three-day working visit. During his stay, he held discussions with President Paul Kagame and signed several agreements. The signed agreements include provisions for preventing double taxation of goods between the two countries, as well as cooperation in agriculture, trade, the economy, health, and medicine.
