According to a tweet from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, their discussion revolved around further enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between Rwanda and Jordan. Bilateral relations between Rwanda and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have grown rapidly over the last five years since the first Rwandan Ambassador presented his Letters of Credence to the King of Jordan in 2017. In February 2023, Rwanda and Jordan signed three Cooperation Agreements through their Ministers of Foreign Affairs: Political Consultations, Higher Education, and Visa Waiver for Diplomatic, Service, and Special Passports. In January 2024, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan visited Rwanda. During his three-day working visit, he held discussions with President Paul Kagame and signed agreements. The signed agreements include the prevention of double taxation of goods between the two countries, cooperation in agriculture, trade, and the economy, as well as cooperation in the field of health and medicine. In addition to other bilateral relations between the two countries, they also discussed exchanging political views to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment, tourism, and agriculture.
