In February, CG Murenzi undertook a three-day visit to Seychelles, where he met with Seychelles’ Minister of Internal Affairs, Erol Fonseka. The visits aimed to exchange best practices and assess operational standards. Additional tours are planned for other facilities, such as Montagne Posée Prison and the High-Security Facility at Bon Espoir. Beyond correctional and prison services, Rwanda and Seychelles also collaborate in policing and defense. On Tuesday, September 24, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Felix Namuhoranye hosted Seychelles' Commissioner of Police, CP Ted Barbe, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru for a bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation. Similarly, the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF) have engaged in discussions to enhance their bilateral defense partnership. This took place on September 24, 2024, when Brigadier Michael Rosette, Chief of Defence Forces of SPDF, visited the RDF Headquarters. He and his delegation were received by Gen MK Mubarakh, Rwanda’s Chief of Defence Staff.
