According to the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) representatives on the ground, the players showed great spirit and unity as they adapted to the conditions in Ethiopia. The training also served as an opportunity for the coaches to assess players’ physical readiness after the long journey.
Eight teams have already arrived in Ethiopia for the regional qualifiers, which will take place from November 15 to December 2, 2025, at the Dire Dawa Stadium and Abebe Bikila Stadium. Rwanda is placed in Group A alongside Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, and South Sudan.
The young Amavubi will begin their campaign against hosts Ethiopia in their opening match at the Abebe Bikila Stadium.
