Matchday 13 of the 2026 Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) men’s division produced thrilling moments on Wednesday evening at Petit Stade in Remera, Kigali, where several players delivered outstanding performances as teams battled for important victories in the ongoing season.

Leonard Craig Randall II Sets New Scoring Record

The biggest highlight of the night came from APR BBC’s new signing Leonard Craig Randall II, who produced an exceptional performance against UGB. Randall scored 36 points, becoming the player with the highest number of points scored in a single game in the 2026 league season. With this remarkable display, he broke the previous record of 32 points, which had been set by Amotoe James Kofi of UGB during a game between UGB and Patriots BBC on February 20, 2026.

Amotoe Responds With 33 Points and Leads League Scoring

Despite Randall’s historic night, Amotoe James Kofi once again demonstrated his scoring ability. In the same clash between UGB and APR BBC, the talented guard scored 33 points, which now stands as the second-highest single-game scoring performance of the season. Amotoe continues to dominate the league statistics. He currently leads the 2026 Rwanda Basketball League scoring chart with 180 points. In addition, he tops the Efficiency ranking with 139, while also recording the highest number of two-point shots made this season with 62.

Ozzy Makes Long-Awaited Return From Injury

Another important moment during Matchday 13 was the return of Shema Osborn “Ozzy”, who played his first game of the 2026 season after a long injury absence. Ozzy had been sidelined since April 27, 2025, when he suffered an injury during the GMT Memorial Tournament final, a dramatic match where APR BBC defeated UGB 94–92 to lift the trophy.

Doumbya Returns but UGB Falls to APR

UGB also welcomed back their captain Mohamed Doumbya, who returned after missing the team’s last three games due to injury. However, his comeback could not prevent defeat as APR BBC secured a narrow 90–87 victory in a highly competitive contest. The result means UGB has now lost four of the seven games they have played this season.

EAUR Secure Convincing Win Over Inspired Generation

In another match played the same evening, EAUR registered a dominant 97–67 victory over Inspired Generation. The game was intense from the opening whistle, but EAUR gradually took control through strong teamwork and effective scoring. The victory marked EAUR’s third win in six matches, while Inspired Generation extended their winless run to six games in the 2026 league season.
